J. Offences and Penalties applicable to publishers with regard to publishing unauthorised advertisements or notices

4.43   Failure by the publisher of a newspaper, magazine or other publication to comply with the provisions of section 31(10) of the Electoral Act 1997 (see paragraphs 4.30 to 4.31) is an offence which can result in a fine of up to €1,269.74.
