Campaigning at the Lisbon Treaty Referendum

Individuals or groups who intend to campaign at the Lisbon Treaty Referendum and who receive a donation greater than €126.97 given for the purpose of funding their campaign are required to register as a "third party" with the Standards in Public Office Commission.

This requirement does not apply to political parties, Members of the Houses of the Oireachtas or representatives in the European Parliament.

It is an offence to fail to comply with this requirement.
